Puede apreciarse la caída de la oclusiva velar sonora entre vocales, a partir del primer dato documentado. En Erbiti, perteneciente al valle de Basaburua Mayor, en el catastro de 1915, se documentan las formas Yarza e Igartza y en Luzaide / Valcarlos se ha recogido bajo forma oral el topónimo Yartzéta [GN DGPL]. DESCR.- Ladera arbolada en la parte NE de ERLETA, desde donde se extiende hasta DITXILLUKO ERREKA.
