COM. LING.- De etimología bastante oscura, aparentemente se trata de una variante de ASURDI (cf. en este capítulo), aunque esto no ofrece seguridad alguna, además de que geográficamente se encuentra situado muy lejos de dicho topónimo. Por otra parte, podríamos estar ante un compuesto de urdin 'azul' o 'verdoso' (cf. ARRIURDIÑETA en el presente capítulo). ESP. recoge Hurdintxo en Lesaka [TN (1965), p. 215] y existe también el topónimo Urdintxa en el valle de Ollo [NTM, T. XI, p. 53, 72 y 121]. En la denominación oral puede observarse la forma sincopada producida, sin duda, por la acentuación. DESCR.- Pequeña elevación de terreno, en la parte baja de la ladera de AMEZTIA y encima del barrio de Latsaga. Dicha elevación divide las regatas de ZURTZAIKO ERREKA y BERRAINZKO ERREKA.
