Synopsis

This volume concludes the research project on the historical toponymy of the municipality of Vitoria-Gasteiz, including its 64 villages, which has been carried out thanks to the collaboration agreement between Euskaltzaindia and the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. Until now, the toponymy corresponding to the merindades of Malizaeza, Ubarrundia, Langraiz, Arratzua, and the first volume of Dibiña has been published. On this occasion, the second and last part of the Dibiña merindad is presented as the closing of the project. The toponymy of the following towns includes: Artatza, Gereña, Legarda, Mandoia / Mandojana, Martioda, Orobarren / Hueto Abajo, Otogoien / Hueto Arriba and Uribarri Dibiña / Ullíbarri-Viña.
