- Euskaltzaindia has been a pioneer in the methodological development of the social history of languages. Euskaltzaindia's project Euskararen Historia Soziala (Social History of the Basque language) is the Academy's main project in this area of research. Our researchers have developed a new methodology and theoretical framework that the Academy wishes to share with researchers and interested parties around the world through the publication of the book Taxonomy proposal for the (historical) sociology of language research: A Basque Contribution (Euskaltzaindia 2024), written by Mikel Zalbide and Lionel Joly.
- It has been published by Euskaltzaindia in collaboration with Iberoamericana-Vervuert.

Euskaltzaindia has expanded and renewed the English version of its website, offering new content and functionality.
Among the new features are the following:
- Updates to the main page. It offers extended information with respect to the previous one, showing news in English, quick access to the different tools of the web and a list of the principal contents.
- Complete institutional information of Euskaltzaindia in English. The institutional section of the web shows the complete information of the institution: a presentation, its history, the list of academics, its organization...
- Access to the most extensive onomastics database.
- Access to the publications catalog with direct links.
The renewal of the website in English is the first step in the internationalization strategy of the Euskaltzaindia website.
Following this strategy, in the near future the possibility of consulting some of the linguistic resources offered on the website will be activated, in different languages.
